• Once you have carried out the firmware update, you can distribute this new firmware ver-
sion from this telephone to all the other system telephones of the same design con-
nected to the PBX.
Note: If there are system telephones of different designs, an additional manual firmware
update is necessary for each design.
• In order to use new features after a firmware update, you usually need a new version of
the COMfortel Set configuration software as well as a new version of the Operation
Guide. Both can be found in the internet (see www.auerswald.de/service).
• In order to use the new features after a firmware update of the telephone, an update of
the PBX firmware is often necessary (see instructions of the PBX).

Distributing Firmware

Note: If there are system telephones of different designs, the firmware has to be distrib-
uted for each design.
Requirements
• New firmware version on the distributing telephone
1. Press the menu key.
2. Tap successively on settings > synchronisation > distr. firmware.
The firmware is distributed. During the distribution process, Server Mode is dis-
played on the distributing telephone. It is not possible to use the telephone during
this process.
