Sensor types
For the SKSCEM1 module and the SKSC3+
controllers, precision temperature sen
sors of the Pt1000 type are used.
The sensor positioning is of utmost im
portance for the overall efficiency of the
system. The collector temperature should
be measured inside the collector, at its
top end. In stores with internal heat ex
changer, the immersion sensor should be
positioned at midheight of the heat ex
changer. If an external heat exchanger is
used, the immersion sensor must be posi
tioned at the base of the store. The sensor
types SKSPT1000KL and SKSPT1000S
have the same electrical features and are
available in the same models. They only
differ in the connecting cable:
SKSPT1000KL: 1.5 m weather and
temperatureresistant silicone cable for
temperatures between 50 °C ... +180 °C,
preferably used for the collector.
SKSPT1000KL: Collector sensor
SKSPT1000S: Reference sensor
(store sensor)
26
SKSPT1000S: 2.5 m PUR cable for tem
peratures between 5 °C ... +80 °C, pref
erably used for the store.
For tube collectors, the SKSPT1000V
sensor must be used!
Make sure that all electrical works are
carried out according to the relevant lo
cal and general regulations. The sensor
cables carry low voltages and they must
not run together in a cable conduit with
cables carrying higher voltages than
50 V. The sensor cables can be extend
ed up to 100 m, but the cross section
must be 1.5 mm² (or 0.75 mm² up to
a cable length of 50 m). When using long
er cables or cable conduits, please use
shielded cables. For immersion sensors
please use immersion sleeves.
Note:
In order to avoid overvoltage damage at
collector sensors (e.g. caused by local
lightning storms), we recommend install
ing the overvoltage protection SKSRÜS.
SKSAFR: Outdoor temperature sensor
with Pt1000 characteristics.
SKSCAF: Clipon sensor with Pt1000
characteristics for the heating flow. 1.5 m
silicone cable 50 ... +180 °C
SKSRTA11: The remote control can be
connected to the SKSCEM1 and is used
to easily adjust the heating curve of the
controller from the living room. Increas
ing the setting causes an increase in flow
temperature.Decreasing the setting caus
es a decrease in flow temperature. The
remote control also allows the functions
"heating circuitoff" and "rapid warmup".
