Important!
Ensure that no foreign objects such as stones
get caught in the crawlers. Remove such foreign
objects before adjusting the crawler tension.
Important!
Crawler connecting piece
The ends of the rubber crawlers are joined to-
gether with a connecting piece. When setting the
crawlers, the connecting piece must be positioned
at the top centre between the idle roller and the
pinion. If the connecting piece is positioned in-
correctly, the crawler will be tensioned too loosely
and further readjustment will be necessary.
Important!
After adjusting, turn the crawler once or twice to
check the tension.
Important!
In addition, the following points must be ob-
served when adjusting the crawlers. (1) If a crawl-
er sags more than 0.98 inches (25 mm), it must be
readjusted. (2) Check the tension of the crawlers

Check and then adjust every 50 operating hours.
Special instructions for the use of rubber crawlers
1. Change direction as slowly as possible. Avoid
turning on the spot to prevent wear and the in-
gress of dirt.
2. Move the machine a short distance straight backwards
if too much dirt and sand is blocking the crawlers. The
soil and sand will then fall out and you can change di-
rection.
3. Avoid using the rubber crawlers on riverbeds,
stony surfaces, reinforced concrete and iron
plates. The rubber can be damaged and wear in-
creased.
