18.12.8 Maintenance of the spark plug
• E6TC (Torch) and E6RTC (Torch) are only used for
79cc and 98cc engines.
• F6TC, F6RTC or F6RTP spark plugs (torch) are
recommended.

m Caution
Using the wrong spark plug can damage the en-
gine.
1. Remove the spark plug connector and use com-
pressed air to remove deposits from the spark
plug area.
2. Remove the spark plug with a 13/16-inch spark
plug spanner.
3. Examine the spark plug. Replace them if the
electrodes are worn or the insulation is torn or
chipped. The spark plug gap should be set to
0.027 - 0.030 inch.
4. Install the spark plug carefully to avoid wedging
the threads. Screw the spark plug in by hand until
it stops turning.
5. Tighten the spark plug with a 13/16-inch spark
plug spanner. Tighten the spark plug with a 1/4
turn when the spark plug is seated.
m Caution
A loose spark plug can overheat and damage
the engine. Overtightening the spark plug can
damage the thread in the cylinder head.
6. Refit the spark plug connector. Ensure that it en-
gages securely.

Every 100 operating hours:
Carry out the complete 50 operating hours mainte-
nance at the same time.
18.12.9 Lubricating the swivel bearing
1. Lubricate through the corresponding grease nip-
ples.
2. Lubricate at every 90° position (1.58 wheel) of the
swivel frame.
3. Apply 5 strokes with the grease gun in each point.
Every 200 operating hours:
Carry out the complete 50 and 100 operating hour
maintenance at the same time.

Open the bonnet and remove the dust cover. Remove
the outer and inner elements and replace them with
new elements. When reassembling, make sure that
you fit the dust cover with the UP mark (arrow) point-
ing upwards.
