Querying Information from the Handset

Querying Device Identification Numbers (IPUI or RFPI) and
Handset Numbers
Requirements for querying the RFPI:
– Base station connected to PBX
– Handset registered with base station
– Handset within range of the base station
1. Press the softkey under Menu.
2. Using your navigation keys, navigate to the Settings option and press the softkey under
OK.
3. Using your navigation keys (up/down), navigate to the Maintenance setting and press the
softkey under OK.
4. Using your navigation keys (up/down), navigate to the Identification setting and press the
softkey under OK.
5. Using your navigation keys (up/down), navigate to the information you want to query
(Handset or Base Station) and press the softkey under OK.
Handset:The display shows the identification number of the handset (IPUI) and, underneath,
the handset number (1-5) automatically allocated upon registration.
Base station:The display shows the identification number of the base station (RFPI).

Querying the Radio Signal Strength or RPN

You can measure the radio signal strength or query the RPN of the currently used transmitter.
Requirements:
– Handset registered with base station
– Handset within range of the base station
1. Press and hold down the 7 key and use your navigation key (down) to access the query
function.
