Setting the Base Station PIN

Note: The PBX begins to distribute the data to the handsets in question. If a handset
is currently not ready for the data transfer (disabled, out of range or busy with a call),
the PBX makes an attempt with the next handset after a few minutes until all of the
data is distributed. During the data transfer (duration: up to two minutes), the handset
is not available and "Copying from PBX" is shown on the display.
Setting the Base Station PIN
The system can be protected from unauthorized access using a 4-digit base station PIN. The factory
setting is 0000. The system PIN should be changed upon first initialization.
1.
Press the softkey under Menu.
2.
Using your navigation keys, navigate to the Settings option and press the softkey under
OK.
3.
Using your navigation keys (up/down), navigate to the System PIN setting and press the
softkey under OK.
4.
Enter the old 4-digit PIN, and press the softkey under Save.
Note: When you change the PIN during the initial configuration (old PIN 0000), you
will not be asked to enter the old PIN.
5.
Enter the new 4-digit PIN, and press the softkey under Save.
