Repeaters
Note: To test the repeaters, you can enable the monitor beep in the repeater tool. You
will then hear a continuously repeated sound at the handset, depending on whether
you are placing the call through the base or through a repeater (base: no sound;
repeater on the base: 1 sound signal; cascaded repeater: 2 sound signals).

Connecting the Directional Antenna to the Repeater

The cable needed to connect the antenna is included in the scope of delivery.
Note: Suitable and permitted are all antennas with an antenna gain of less than
12 dB, including the connection cable loss. The antenna must be suited for a
frequency range of between 1880 and 1900 MHz.
Requirements:
– Repeater registered with base station
1. Unplug the repeater to be connected with the
antenna (in our example, Repeater 4 in
Abb. 13) from its power supply.
2. Remove the protective cap from the SMB
socket of the COMfortel DECT antenna.
3. Screw the enclosed HF cable with its screw
thread into the SMB socket of the COMfortel
DECT antenna.
4. Insert the HF cable into the antenna socket on the back of the repeater.
5. Put the power plug of the repeater back in its socket.
