Important Information

Proper Use

The COMfortel WS-500S is a DECT base station for single-cell operation or mini
multi-cell system. Using an upgrade with licence, it can be integrated into a multi-
cell system.
The COMfortel WS-500M is a DECT base station for setting up a multi-cell
system.
Both devices connect one or more DECT telephones to a VoIP PBX. The
following Auerswald/FONtevo PBXs are supported, including provisioning:
• COMpact 4000 (from firmware 7.4B)
• COMpact 5000/R (from firmware 7.4B)
• COMpact 5200/5200R/5500R (from firmware 7.4B)
• COMmander 6000/R/RX (from firmware 7.4B)
• COMtrexx Business
• COMtrexx Advanced
• COMtrexx VM (all variants)
Operation as a normal DECT system is possible on these PBXs:
• COMpact 5010/5020 VoIP
• COMmander Basic.2, Basic.2 19"
• COMmander Business, Business 19"
• SIP-based ICT systems from other manufacturers (check their compatibility
in advance)
