Adjustment of fixed knife
All adjustments must be made with hand tools - do
not use a cordless electric screwdriver.
Never attempt to adjust the cutter during opera-
tion.
1. Remove the motor - do not remove the inlet, and
do not loosen the inlet screws, as it may affect the
adjustment of the fixed knife.
2. Loosen the 3 counter nuts 1-2 turns.
3. While turning the rotor by hand in the correct direc-
tion of rotation, turn one of the outermost adjusting
screws inward until a clicking sound is heard. The
sound appears when the moving knife hits the
fixed knife. When the sound is clear and the rotor
can still be turned by hand, tighten the counter nut.
4. Next, turn the outer adjusting screw in the opposite
side inward, while rotating the rotor. When another
click sound can be heard, and the rotor can still be
rotated by hand, tighten the counter nut.
5. Finally, turn the middle adjusting screw inward
while rotating the rotor, until another clicking sound
is heard, and then tighten the counter nut.
6. Check if the cutter cuts satisfactorily across the
entire width of the knife by cutting a very thin piece

of plastic foil or paper. The width of the entire cut-
ter should be checked. When properly adjusted, it
should be felt, that the rotor touches the fixed knife
when the rotor is rotated by hand. Again, the rotor
is only turned in the correct direction of rotation.
7. In case the fixed knife has been adjusted so that
the rotor knife goes too tight, loosen the adjusting
screws and repeat the process.
Take care when the rotor is rotated by hand, use glo-
ves.
Removal of fixed knife
If the cutting edge of the fixed knife is worn or dama-
ged, the knife can be removed and turned 180 degrees
to use a new cutting edge. This is done by:
1. Loosening the 3 counter nuts, the 3 adjusting
screws, and the 3 mounting screws.
2. Taking out the fixed knife and turning it.
3. Tightening the mounting screws lightly.
4. Adjusting the knife as shown earlier.
5. Tightening the mounting screws to 7 Nm.
6. Checking if the cutter cuts satisfactory. If not, ad-
just the knife as shown earlier.
Mounting screws - tighten 7 Nm
