Connect a mains connection cable to the right hand
side of the inverter.
If a StecaGrid Control N or StecaGrid Control D resp.
D1 control unit is not used, it is advisable to connect
an earth leakage circuit breaker between the inver-
ter and the mains socket. Steca is offering a package
with circuit breaker and mains connection cable
together as StecaGrid Link. This is not necessary, if a
control unit is used; the AC wall socket plug and the
earth leakage circuit breaker are integral to this unit.

3.4. Commissioning

Insert the inverter or control unit plug into the wall socket
The solar system is now commissioned automatically.
When light intensity is sufficient the inverters will
switch to the 'Active' mode: this is indicated when
the LED is permanently lit. Energy is now delivered
back into the electrical system.

3.5. Operation

The solar system operates fully automatically
If there is adequate sunlight, energy is delivered
back into the electrical system (the LED is perma-
nently lit).
If solar energy levels are low, the inverter will switch
to 'Stand-by' (flashing LED).
If there is insufficient or no sunlight, the inverter will
switch to the 'Off' mode. In this mode, no energy is
consumed from the grid.
WARNING!
Malfunction of the PV system!
An earth leakage circuit breaker trips at a very low current
differential. This mainly occurs during a thunderstorm. In
view of this, check that the system is operational on a regular
basis. Regular checks of the kilowatt hour meter may also
bring system failures to light at an early stage.
NOTE
After disconnection the inverter will switch to ‚Stand-by'.
The LED will flash briefly to signal this. The DC side is now
voltage free.
