The battery for the device is supplied in a partially charged state.
The battery should be charged in conditions where the ambient

temperature is 4
C - 45
C. A new battery or one that has not been
used for a long period of time will reach full power capability after
approximately 3 - 5 charge and discharge cycles.
• Remove the battery (9) from the unit (Fig. A).
• Plug the charger (10) into a mains socket (230 V AC).
• Slide the battery pack (9) into the charger (10) (Fig. B). Check
that the battery pack is properly seated (inserted all the way in).
When the charger is plugged into a mains socket (230 V AC),
the green LED (11) on the charger will light up to indicate that
the voltage is connected.
When the battery pack (9) is placed in the charger (10), the red
LED (11) on the charger will illuminate to indicate that the battery
is in the process of being charged.
At the same time, the green LEDs (13) of the battery's state of
charge light up pulsatingly in different patterns (see description
below).
• Pulse lighting of all LEDs - indicates battery depletion and the
need to recharge.
• Pulsating illumination of 2 LEDs - indicates partial discharge.
• Pulsating 1 LED - indicates high battery charge.
When the battery is charged, the LED (11) on the charger lights up
green and all the battery charge status LEDs (13) light up
continuously. After a certain time (approx. 15s), the battery charge
status LEDs (13) go out.
The battery should not be charged for more than 8 hours.
Exceeding this time may damage the battery cells. The charger will
not switch off automatically when the battery is fully charged. The
green LED on the charger will remain lit. The battery charge status
LED will turn off after a period of time. Disconnect the power supply
before removing the battery from the charger socket. Avoid
consecutive short charges. Do not recharge the battery after using
it for a short time. A significant drop in the time between necessary
recharges indicates that the battery is worn out and should be
replaced.
Batteries become warm during the charging process. Do not
undertake work immediately after charging - wait until the battery
has reached room temperature. This will prevent damage to the
battery.
BATTERY CHARGING STATE SIGNAL The battery is equipped with
a battery charge status indication (3 LEDs) (13). To check the charge
status of the battery, press the battery charge status indication button
(12) (Fig. C). Lighting of all LEDs indicates a high level of battery
charge. The lighting of 2 diodes indicates partial discharge. The
lighting of only 1 diode indicates that the battery is exhausted and
needs to be recharged.
ADJUSTABLE MAIN HANDLE
Before starting work, the position of the main handle can be
adjusted to be most convenient for the work to be carried out. The
handle can be set in 3 positions by turning it 90
in relation to the basic position. When changing the position of the
main handle, care must be taken not to press the switch button as
this will prevent the handle from rotating.
• Press the main handle lock button (5) (fig. D).
• Rotate the main handle to the desired position.
• Handle
main handle automatically locks into the selected
position.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
ON/OFF
Before starting up, the knife bar cover must be removed and the
battery installed.
The hedge trimmer has a safety switch, requiring the use of both
hands to activate.
Switching on - press the switch lock button (4) and while holding
it down press the switch button (6) (Fig. E).
Switching off - release pressure on the switch button (6) or the
switch lock button (4)
The shears do not operate until the switch lock button (4) is pressed
simultaneously with one hand and the switch (6) is pressed with the
other hand. Releasing the pressure on one of the switches stops
the shears from operating. The safety brake on the movement of
the shears immobilises them in less than 1 s after the switch is
released.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE
Carefully inspect the hedge for invisible objects such as fences,
netting, etc. before starting work.
• When pruning long branches, work should be done gradually, in
• The shears must only be used when the hedge is dry.
• When work is complete, replace the knife bar cover (Fig. F).
HEDGE TRIMMING
