Use a gripper and scraper to remove objects and deposits.
Perform visual check of the tanks.
Lift out the pumps:
Unhook the chain and thread into the lifting aid.
Pull up the chain slowly via the lifting aid.
Repeat the process for a second pump.
Place a slip-proof ladder in the pump chamber.
carry out maintenance of the level measurement and the backflow preventer, see following sections.
Cordon off to ensure traffic safety
Take appropriate cordoning off measures to ensure that
traffic safety is maintained.
CAUTION
Transport the cover plate only if it is lashed onto
a pallet.
Only fit the cover plate if the excavations have
already been backfilled.
Only move the cover plate with suitable lifting
tools.
Wear personal protective equipment (safety hel-
met, safety footwear).
Lift out the cover plate:
Hook suitable lifting tool into the cover plate.
Raise the lifting tool a few centimetres and pull the cover
plate off the chamber opening. Pay attention to correct
ergonomics and always keep the handle of the lifting tool
in line with the middle of your body.
Repeat the procedure for the other cover plate.
Carry out maintenance
Pull the pump(s) slowly upwards and out of the chamber by the chain. Use a suitable lifting tool (e.g. tripod).
CAUTION
Accumulated wastewater flows out!
Check pump parts for deformation and deposits.
Ensure the moving parts can move easily.
