4.9 Attaching the pump clamp
Pump with threaded connection
Pump the clean water out of the tank.
Screw the pump clamp (2) onto the pump and secure
using the grub screw (3).
Insert the seal (1) into the pump clamp (2).
Grease the contact surface of the pump clamp (4).
Grease the seal.
4.10 Installing the pumps
Provide chains for the pump installation (2 m length for
NS 4 and NS 7 with 80 cm installation depth) or 3 m
(NS 10 and NS 7 with 120 cm installation depth; tensile
strength at least 30 kg). Also provide suitable hook for
subsequent fixing of the chains.
Fix the chain (1) to the pump (2).
Provide a suitable lifting aid for the weight of the pump
(e.g. wire rope hoist).
Position the pump (2) in the chamber. To do so, slowly
lower it on the chain (1) attached to the lifting aid, hang
it in the guide rods (3) at the bottom and lower to the bot-
tom of the chamber.
Make sure the pump comes to rest properly on the base
elbow (4).
Fix the loose end of the chain temporarily.
Repeat the procedure for any other pumps.
