Cleaning

- Clean the pressure cooker immediately after each use. Let it cool down before cleaning.
- As all components of the pressure cooker are safety-related, it is not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.
- Remove the sealing ring from the lid. Clean it with warm water only. Then dry it completely.
- You can rinse the safety valve in the lid under running water.
- You can remove the cover of the regulating valve from the lid for thorough cleaning. To do this, first turn it on level
0, then press it down and turn it beyond the resistance towards
running water. Then dry it completely. Check the mobility of the valve before you put the cover back on, taking the
guide into account, and fasten it by turning it beyond the resistance in the direction of level 0.
- Do not immerse the lid into water. Only wipe it with a soft cloth, slightly moistened if necessary. Afterwards, dry it
off thoroughly.
- Clean the pot by hand only with warm water and a commercially available detergent or, if necessary, a commercially
available cleaning agent for stainless steel products in accordance with the instructions for use given there. In
case of stubborn residues, let the pot soak.
- Clean the steamer insert and the rack with warm water and a mild detergent. Alternatively, you can clean these
parts in the dishwasher.
- Avoid using abrasive sponges, sharp or pointed objects, benzine, solvents, scrubbing brushes or abrasive cleaning
agents for cleaning the pressure cooker.
- Always let the pressure cooker and all its components dry off completely. We recommend to not lock the lid on the
pot for storage to protect the sealing ring.

Discolouring

Depending on various factors, such as the lime content in the water, the preparation of certain dishes or the use of
certain cleaning agents, discolouring can occur at the pot or at the lid. It does not impair the function or cooking
and frying results. Minor scale spots can be removed with a solution of vinegar and water or with citric acid. Other
discolouring can be removed with a commercially available cleaning agent for stainless steel products.

Maintenance

Danger!
The pressure cooker works with overpressure. All individual parts have a safety-relevant function, so that
the perfect condition of all parts must be given at all times!
This can only be guaranteed if the following points are observed:
- Cleaning must be carried out carefully and properly. Observe the corresponding instructions in this manual.
- All parts that show visible signs of wear, clear limescale deposits or other damage must be replaced. Only use
original spare parts. Contact an authorised specialist dealer for this.
- The sealing ring must be replaced every 1-2 years, depending on the intensity of use, but at the latest when it
shows visible signs of damage, has become hard or heavily discoloured or can no longer be used correctly.
The pressure cooker VITESSE complies with the relevant safety regulations. Defective or damaged components as
well as improper repairs can cause considerable danger to the user. Improper use and inadequate care or cleaning
will invalidate the warranty.
