Troubleshooting
- Check the heat output of your stove.
- Set to the highest setting until steam escapes. Then immediately reduce the
heat input.
Note that it may take a few minutes for sufficient pressure to build up. Otherwise
check, if:
- the heat source has sufficient heating power.
- you have added enough liquid to the pot.
- the regulating valve is set to level 0.
- the pressure cooker is fully locked.
- the sealing ring or the rim of the pot is damaged.
- Hold the pressure cooker under running water to release the pressure.
- Open the lid. Clean the regulating valve and the safety valve.
Check that:
- the lid is properly closed.
- the sealing ring is correctly inserted.
- the sealing ring is undamaged and shows no wear.
- the lid and the safety and control valves are free of dirt.
- the rim of the pot is undamaged.
- Check that the safety valve has sunk all the way down.
- Let the steam escape, under running water if necessary.
Make sure that the pressure has completely escaped and the safety valve has
completely sunk in before opening the lid.
- The heat is too high.
- Always observe the MAX mark and take into account that certain foods swell
up a lot.
- Let the pressure escape and remove the food from the pot.
- Observe the cooking time. Adjust it if necessary.
- Pay attention to the power of your stove.
- Make sure you set the correct pressure level.
- Make sure to add the required amount of liquid.
- Remove the pressure cooker from the heat source immediately, let it cool
down completely and open the lid.
- Check the regulating valve, the safety valve and the sealing ring. Clean them
if necessary.
- Make sure you always add enough liquid to the food. The pressure cooker
must never boil empty.
- Make sure that the maximum filling quantity is not exceeded. Also observe
the instructions in chapter 7 Use.
