Risk of burns or injury!
If no other information is given in your recipe, slowly let the steam escape by gradually turning the regulating
valve (Pic. 5) towards level 0. Turn the regulating valve from level 2 to level 1 and only a few seconds
later to level 0. Do not turn the regulating valve directly from level 2 to level 0.
- When no more steam escapes and the red safety valve has sunk in completely (Pic. 6b), you can release the lid
lock by pressing the button
Caution: Do not open the lid by force. Shake the pressure cooker before opening it so that any steam bubbles can
be released. This applies in particular when steaming off quickly or steaming off under running water as described
in chapter 8 Steam release variants, variant 2 or 3.

Steam release variants
Risk of burns or injury!
The escaping steam is very hot. Do not hold your head, hands or arms directly over the valve. Use our
SPRING GRIPS pot holders or gloves, if necessary.
Danger!
Never open the lid by force and do not make any changes to the safety elements. The pressure cooker
cannot be opened while it is under pressure and the red safety valve is visible (Pic. 6a).
Variant 1: Remove the pot from the heat source. Wait until the red safety valve has completely sunken in (Pic. 6b)
and no more steam escapes. We recommend this variant for strongly foaming food.
Variant 2: Turn the regulating valve (Pic. 5) to level 0 in stages. From level 2, turn the regulating valve first to level 1
and then further to level 0. From level 1, you can turn directly to level 0. Wait until no more steam escapes
and the safety valve is no longer visible (Pic. 6b).
Variant 3: Hold the pressure cooker under running, lukewarm water. Make sure that the water only runs over the
side of the lid and not over the handle of the lid. Do not put the entire pressure cooker in the water. When
the safety valve has completely reset (Pic. 6b), turn the regulating valve (Pic. 5) to level 0. When no more
steam escapes, you can open the pressure cooker and remove the lid.
Variant 4: To save energy, you can take the pressure cooker off the stove just before the cooking time is up and let
the food finish cooking with the residual heat. As soon as the cooking time has elapsed, set the regulating
valve (Pic. 5) to level 0 to let any remaining pressure escape. This variant is particularly suitable for food
with a long preparation time.
