The operator of the crane system must comply with country-specific
regulations regarding the age, qualification and training of personnel.
Valid for Germany:
A specialist is someone who, on the basis of their specialist training, knowledge
and experience, as well as their knowledge of the relevant regulations, can assess
the work assigned to them, recognise possible dangers and take suitable safety
measures. A skilled worker must comply with the relevant technical regulations.
Personal protective equipment
3.8
To avoid injury, always wear suitable protective equipment appropriate to the
situation. The protective equipment must meet the following standards:

Safety shoes safety class S1 or better
•
Sturdy work gloves safety category 2133 or better
•
Industrial safety helmet
•
Hearing protection class L or higher
•
Safety goggles class F
•
Hairnet
•
Tight-fitting clothing
Safety equipment
3.9
The lifting device is equipped with the following safety devices:
•
Pressure gauge: Shows the current pressure in the vacuum reservoir.
•
Acoustic warning device: Monitors the operating vacuum and triggers in the event of
a power failure.
•
Vacuum accumulator: Maintains the vacuum for a short safety period in
the event of a power failure (depending on the tightness of the load
surface).
•
Non-return valve
•
Load safety chain
•
Option: TRA traverse with two load securing chains for multiple
attachment of suction plates to the vacuum attachment.
Before each start-up, ensure that the safety devices are in perfect condition
(> see section Checking the safety devices).
Technical condition
3.10
If the product is operated in a defective condition, safety and function are impaired.
•
Only operate the lifting device in technically perfect original condition.
•
Adhere to the maintenance schedule.
•
Only use original Probst spare parts.
•
If the operating behaviour changes, check the lifting device for faults.
Rectify faults immediately!
•
Do not convert or modify the lifting device without authorisation.
•
Do not render safety devices ineffective under any circumstances.
Probst accepts no liability for the consequences of a change beyond its control.
Responsibility of the operator
3.11
The operator is jointly responsible to third parties in the working area of the lifting
device. There must be no unclear competences.
