Check before starting work

1. Ensure that there is sufficient fuel in the tank.
2. Check safety devices.
3. Check the warning device (16) (> see chapter Checking the warning device).
4. Check the condition of the suction plate.
5. Ensure that the suction plate is securely fastened.
6. Check the dust filter. Clean or replace the filter cartridge if necessary
7. Drain condensation water (> see section Draining condensation water).
8. Ensure that the lifting device is properly attached.
Ensure that the transport or lifting equipment used and the lifting gear are suitable.
Attach the suction plate
8.3
The suction plate is not included in the scope of delivery.
The operator is responsible for the design of the suction plate depending on the
load characteristics (surface, tightness, weight).
The maximum permissible load of the suction plate determines the
maximum permissible load of the entire lifting device (see load plate of
the suction plate).
The operator undertakes to verify the static strength and the holding forces as a
function of the achievable vacuum and to comply with the safety factors. The
standard
DIN EN 13155 in the version valid at the time of installation.
Probst GmbH accepts no liability for damage caused by the use of an unsuitable
suction plate.
WARNING
1. Attach the lifting
device to a suitable
lifting aid.
2. Remove both locking bolts (6.1).

Unexpected switch-on when attaching the suction plate
Risk of injury due to vacuum!
Ensure that the vacuum generator cannot be switched on while
the suction plate is being fitted.
