9.1.1 Safety instructions for troubleshooting
Faults on the lifting device may only be rectified by qualified mechanical and
electrical specialists.
The personnel must have read and understood the operating instructions.

9.1.2 Protective equipment
The following protective equipment is required for installation,
troubleshooting and maintenance work:

Safety shoes

Depending on the load, sturdy work gloves

If the load cannot be lifted, go through the following list to find and
rectify the fault:

Vacuum generator is
working, but load is not
sucked in.
Vacuum generator is
working, but load is not
sucked in.

Risk of injury due to negative pressure!
Switch off the vacuum generator before troubleshooting or
maintenance work.
Ensure that no stored residual vacuum remains in the vacuum circuit.
Risk of injury due to improper maintenance or troubleshooting
→ Check theproper functioning of the product, especially the
safety devices, after each maintenance or troubleshooting
operation.
Cause
The suction plate does not
completely cover the load.
Leakage air is sucked in.
Dust filter is dirty.
Dust filter is not closed.
Hose or fittings are leaking.
Valves are dirty.
Manual slide valve is in the
"Release load" position.
Remedy

Position the lifting device
on the load so that the
suction plate completely
covers the load.
Clean or replace the filter
cartridge of the dust
filter.
Close the dust filter
cover.
Replace or seal
components.
Have the valves cleaned by
Probst Service.
Move the manual slide
valve to the "suck in load"
position.
