The lifting device may only be operated under the following conditions:
• Operation is only permitted in the temperature range from +5°C to +40°C (41°F to
104°F).
• The environment must be free of moisture, wetness, dirt, dust, oil or other
climatic conditions that reduce friction.
• The lifting device must be sufficiently dimensioned for the load case.
If in doubt, consult Probst before commissioning.
Requirements for the workplace
3.6
The following requirements must be met for a safe workplace:
• The operator is obliged to carry out a risk assessment for the ambient
conditions at the place of use.
• The type plate and the warning notices must be legible.
• The operator must have a good view of the entire work area, the workplace
must be adequately lit without glare and the workplace environment must
be clean and clearly visible.
Personnel qualification
3.7
Unqualified personnel cannot recognise risks and are therefore exposed to
greater dangers! The operator must ensure the following points:
• The personnel must be authorised for the activities described in these operating
instructions.
• Staff must have reached the age of 18 and be physically and mentally fit.
• The product may only be operated by persons who have completed
appropriate training.
• Staff must receive regular safety training (frequency according to country-
specific regulations).
• Installation, repair and maintenance work may only be carried out by
Probst GmbH specialists or by persons who can provide proof of
appropriate training at Probst.
The following target groups are addressed in these operating instructions:
• Persons who are trained in operating and cleaning the product.
• Mechanical and electrical specialists who are responsible for installing,

Do not suck in any liquids or bulk materials.
Observe the pressure gauge and the signal of the warning device.
Depending on the intensity of the thunderstorm, stop work if
necessary.
