TIPS ON CARING FOR
YOUR WATCH
SUPERFAST TOURBILLON
Movement
Your watch's movement deserves spe-
cial care; to maintain its performance,
have it serviced regularly by an official
Chopard distributor.
Water-resistance
A so-called "water-resistant" watch is
made to withstand daily use in com-
mon situations (showers, bathing,
swimming, etc...). However, the joints
that guarantee its water-resistance
naturally deteriorate when exposed to
cosmetic products (perfumes, nail var-
nish, etc.), the chlorine in swimming
pools, perspiration, sunlight, as well as
changes in temperature and weather!
That is why we advise you to have
the water-resistance of your watch
checked once a year before any
period of intensive use in an aquatic
environment, in order to preserve the
movement of your watch. Nonetheless,

watches featuring an additional indica-
tion regarding their pressure resistance
(e.g. 3, 5 bars or 30, 50 metres) are NOT
intended for scuba diving! So-called
"diver's" watches must comply with the
corresponding ISO 6425 standard in
order to be used for that purpose.
Condensation
When the temperature suddenly rises
or falls, slight condensation may form
under the glass. Generally, this dis-
appears of its own accord without
affecting the smooth running of the
watch. If condensation persists, do not
hesitate to consult an official Chopard
retailer.
Rinsing
Rinse your watch regularly in clean
soapy water, especially if you are using
it in salt water. For frequent or pro-
longed use in water, we recommend a
rubber strap or a steel bracelet, rather
than a leather strap.
Straps
The carbon strap of the Superfast
Tourbillon is stitched and can dete-
riorate if it comes into contact with
liquids (freshwater, seawater, etc) or
cosmetic products (soap, perfume,
cream). If your strap is subjected to
these stressors (through immersion,
heavy perspiration, in the shower)
we recommend you dab it with a soft
cloth and leave it to dry well away from
any sources of heat and light. We also
recommend avoiding any prolonged
exposure to light or heat, which could
result in premature fading of the colour
of your strap.
Authenticity
To guarantee the authenticity of each
model, whatever the collection, an indi-
vidual serial number is engraved on
each of them and recorded in our com-
pany archives.
