SUPERFAST TOURBILLON
Crown in position 1 –
normal running and manual
winding
The Superfast Tourbillon watch houses
a COSC-certified mechanical with
automatic winding movement fitted
with a barrel that ensures a 60-hour
power reserve. This power reserve of
two and a half days ensures ease of
operation. As the calibre is automatic,
the movement of the wrist plays a key
role in winding the watch. If the watch
stops, it must be wound manually with
around 50 turns before it can be worn.
This is equivalent to a power reserve
of approximately 35 hours.
The 04.03-M movement equipping
the Superfast Tourbillon watch has a
unique and patented vertical crown
stem system.
The watch runs normally when the
crown is in position 1. To wind the
watch movement, the crown must be
turned by hand in an anticlockwise
32
direction to supply the mainspring
with energy. A "slipping spring" friction
system placed inside the barrel avoids
any excess tension in the spring and
locks the winding mechanism when
the power reserve has reached its
maximum position. The unique crown
of the Super fast Tourbillon watch
makes winding easy. The movement
of your watch is fully wound when the
power reserve indicator is in the maxi-
mum position.
Crown in position 2 –
setting the time
To adjust the time, pull the crown out to
position 2 and turn it until the desired
time is displayed, before pushing
the crown back in to position 1. The
Superfast Tourbillon watch is fitted with
a patented stop-tourbillon device that
stops the mechanism when the crown
is in position 2. To adjust the watch to
the second, pull the crown out to posi-
tion 2 when the second hand is at zero
and push it in once the hour and min-
ute hands have been adjusted. The
time can be set by turning the crown
clockwise or anticlockwise. When
turned clockwise, the date and day
of the week cannot be changed. As
the date and day change at midnight,
it is important to distinguish between
midnight and midday when setting
the time.
Adjusting the large date
The large date can be corrected using
the corrector at 12 o'clock. Each press
moves the date one day forward.
Adjusting the day of the week
The day is corrected using the cor-
rector at 5.30. Each press moves the
day of the week forward. The day of
the week display is retrograde, mean-
ing the hand will jump backwards from
Sunday to Monday.
REMARKS AND WARNINGS
– As the mechanisms are not entirely
operational between 8 pm and 2 am,
it is preferable not to adjust the date
and day of the week during this time
period. In fact, day or date jumps
cannot occur during this time.
– After each adjustment, the crown
must always be pushed back in
order to guarantee its water resist-
ance. These adjustment operations
must not under any circumstance
be performed in water, as this could
damage the movement.
