II.6 Instrument Disposal
Do not dispose of electrical equipment in a standard
waste container. Please contact your local Technical
Service for assistance if you wish to dispose of your
instrument.

IV Limited Warranty
Products of Merck are sold under the terms and
conditions of sale of Merck and its affiliates, which
may vary from country to country. The products sold
hereunder are warranted to be free from defects in
workmanship and material at the time of delivery to
the customer. Merck makes no warranty or repre-
sentation, either expressed or implied, with respect
to the suitabillity of a product for a particular pur-
pose. There are no warranties, expressed or implied,
which extend beyond the technical specifications
of the products.
Merck declares its instruments to be free from defects
of materials and workmanship. The warranty period
is one (1) year commencing on the date of commis-
sioning of the instrument as evidenced by means of
an invoice or other documents.
The warranty covers the rectification of all faults
which occur as a proven direct result of faulty ma-
terials or workmanship during the warranty period.
The following items are not covered by the warranty:

High Flow Touch
The user is not entitled to any remedy in law towards
Merck, howsoever arising, apart from those reme-
dies mentioned here. Merck accepts no other liability
or warranty towards the user. The legal rights of
the purchaser towards the seller remain unaffected
by this.
Please be advised that the RCS
specified for use with HYCON
HYCON
agar strips or consumables not produced, distributed
or authorized by Merck will void any warranty as
correct operation of the instrument cannot be
guaranteed. Furthermore, Merck will not be liable
for any faults or defects originated from using in-
appropriate agar media or consumables.

tional damage, or the use of parts from
other manufacturers, or through repairs or
modifications carried out by persons not
