Safety
The appliance corresponds to protec-

tion class I and may only be connec-
ted to a socket with a protective con-
ductor that has been installed prop-
erly. When connecting the appliance,
make sure that the voltage is correct.
You can find more detailed information
about this on the nameplate.
If the mains plug is no longer access-
n
ible after the appliance has been con-
nected, an all-pole disconnecting
device complying with overvoltage cat-
egory III must be connected into the
house wiring with a contact gap of at
least 3 mm; consult a qualified profes-
sional if necessary.
The appliance must only be connected
n
to the mains after completion of all in-
stallation and assembly work.
Never open the housing.

Mains cord / mains plug

ð Take care to prevent the risk of trip-
ping when laying the mains cord.
ð Do not kink or pinch the mains cord
or lay it over sharp edges.
ð Do not extend or modify the mains
cord.
ð Keep the mains plug and cord away
from naked flames and hot surfaces.
ð Never pull the mains plug out of the
socket by the mains cord; always
hold the mains plug itself.
ð Never touch the mains plug with wet
hands.
ð Never immerse the mains cord or
plug in water or any other liquids.
If the mains cord is damaged, it must
n
be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified per-
sons in order to avoid a hazard.
Independent or improper repairs made
n
to the appliance may cause damage
to property and personal injury; any li-
ability and warranty claims will be for-
feited. Never try to repair the appli-
ance yourself.
Inspections and repairs to the appli-
n
ance may only be carried out by au-
thorised specialists. Please contact
our Service department if necessary.
Only parts corresponding to the ori-
n
ginal appliance specifications may be
used for repairs.
In the event of a fault, as well as be-
n
fore extensive cleaning, pull out the
mains plug or isolate/unscrew the
fuse.
Do not put any objects in or through
n
the housing opening, and also ensure
that children cannot insert any objects
into them.
Check the appliance regularly for
n
damage.
Never clean the appliance with a high-
n
pressure cleaner or steam cleaner.

Improper handling of the appliance can
lead to fire and damage to property.
Connect the appliance only to a prop-

erly installed and earthed electric
socket. Do not connect to a multi-
socket extension cable or a multi-
socket plug.
The appliance is not to be operated

with an external timer or an external
remote control system.
