Maintenance and error rectification checklist

Checking the general condition of the unit
(→ annually)
• Check the secure fit of the bracket!
Are the screws for fixing the brackets tight?
• Check the tightness of the guide rails and brackets!
• Check the fixing of the screws!
Caution: personal injury and property damage! Risk of awning
falling!
• Check in particular the attachments of the
"headplate bracket" and "support channel brackets"!
• Check the functioning of the lighting!
• Check the (optional) dimmer function!
• Test the functioning of the existing sensor and automatic control unit in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions!
• Checking the drainage holes in end caps:
water drainage holes must be free, enabling the water to drain off!
• Check that the motor is switched off that the motor is switched off in its
upper and lower end position!
• Checking whether the front profile moves evenly to the housing on the left
and right-hand sides. A gap of 1.5 mm per running meter of the awning
width is permissible (for example 6 m cassette width; 6 x 1.5 mm = 9 mm).
• Check and evaluate unequal spacing of the front profile to the end caps
when extended with deformed fabric!
• Check the functioning of the tension system!
• Check L1 spring pre-tensioning!
• Check the function and wear and tear of the carriage!
Can the carriage in the support channel move freely (without making grinding,
squeaking, knocking or other noises)? Are the idle pulleys round and free of
grinding positions and grinding grooves?
• Check the function and wear and tear of the rope!
• Check the zip guide in the fabric guide profile!
Does the zip run disturbance-free in the fabric guide profile?
• Visual inspection for paint damages to all components accordingly!
• Check the electrical leads for damages.

Caution! Serious risk of injury and crushing! Set the ground fault circuit interrupter to "Disconnected" to disconnect the unit
from the power supply! Check that the unit is disconnected from the mains and cannot be moved unintentionally!

Maintenance measures:
• Re-tighten the screws!
• Re-tighten the screws!
• Carry out a stress test (wobble and pull the support channels)!
• Replace faulty lighting parts!
• Replace the remote controller batteries or the remote controller if faulty!

• Replace the batteries if necessary!
• Replace the respective components affected!
• Clean the water drainage holes
• Reset the end positions again according to the instructions
• Or replace the motor if faulty
• Visual faults can be rectified by placing fabric beneath!
• If foreign bodies are visible on the fabric, they must be removed!!
• In case of functional restriction, the fabric must be replaced.
• Replace the fabric if variances result in functional faults!
• Correct the voltage!
• Replace idle pulleys!
• Replace the rope if necessary!
• Clean fabric guide profile! As required, spray the fabric guide profiles
with a silicone-based spray (e.g. marine spray)!
• Check the diagonal distance according to the instructions for assembly
and re-align as necessary!
• Check the gap in the fabric guide profile with a sensor gauge!
• Check zip for wear and tear and damage
• Touch-up visible scratches or other paint damages to powder coa-
ted parts with a touch-up pen!
• Rectify damages to leads/replace them!
