Check fabric, fabric sag and fabric tension
(→ annually)
• Checking fabric sag and fabric tension (OptiStretch option):
Construction dimensions (values valid for fully extended construction):
– Up to 300 cm housing width x 200 cm projection: 3 cm permissible fabric
sag
– larger dimensions: 9 cm permissible fabric sag
• Check fabric sag and fabric tension (stretch option):
up to 300 cm housing width x 200 cm projection, permissible fabric sag of
5 cm
Larger cross dimensions, permissible fabric sag is 14 cm
Values valid for fully extended construction
• Check the number of distance ropes!
• Check the seams: "Seams intact, no thread breakage or damage to the
seam. Glued and welded fabrics, the joint must be intact"
• Check the diagonal and parallel alignment of the awning!
• The winding behaviour may not restrict the awning function.
Assessment of the winding creases according to the "ITRS Guideline for
Assessment of Manufactured Awning Fabrics"!
• Check unaccustomed and disturbing construction noise development on
the construction, e.g. vibrations, creaking noises or banging!
• Depending on the source of the noise, check all movable parts:
– Motor,
– fabric guide profile, fabric, rope, rope drum and carriage,
– check the seat of the tensioning rope on the rope drums.
– pulley blocks in the headplate, in the front profile and the end cap
Note: Always take the "ITRS Guideline for Assessment of Manufactured Awning Fabrics" into account in order to assess the state of your fabric.

• Check flawless functioning, noise development and wear and tear of mo-
vable parts.

Maintenance measures:
• Check the tension system!
• Check the motor end position!
• Check whether distance rope is available!
• Replace the fabric if required
• Observe that fabrics age and stretch during the course of their working
life.
As long as the functionality of the awning exists, replacing the fabric is
not necessary. Overstretched hems and winding creases attributed to
stretching are an outward appearance. Here, it is the customer's decision
whether to replace the fabric with a new fabric if no longer satisfied with
it!
• Retrofit or repair distance rope!
• Replace the fabric if not intact!
• As long as a fabric is intact and the awning functions, a fabric need not
be replaced. Observe that fabrics age and stretch during the course of
their working life. Overstretched hems and winding creases attributed to
stretching are an outward appearance. Here, it is the customer's decision
whether to replace the fabric with a new fabric if no longer satisfied with
it.
• Analyse noise development and replace parts if necessary!
Maintenance measures:
• Greasing all movable parts:
– Bolts for the roller tube insert inside the housing
– Bolts for the pulley block in the headplate
– Bolts for the pulley block in the end cap
– Bolts for the pulley block and the idle pulley in the carriage
– Bolts for the rope block in the front profile
– Bolts for the pulley block in the preloading tail in the front profile
• Apply grease, sprays or liquids which contain elements of Teflon, PTFE
or comparable agents! For best effectiveness, use a water-repellent and
dirt-repellent lubricant.
