17 - Fit the front derailleur hanger (36) and tighten
the screws (37) to a torque of 3Nm. If you are
removing and reassembling the hanger, apply a
drop of medium threadlocker (such as LOCTITE
243™) to each screw. Also check that the rear
derailleur hanger is correctly tightened to 3Nm.
18 - Connect your shifters and route the groupset
according to Shimano instructions.
19 - Complete the headset assembly (see Headset
Assembly).

NOTE : The 796 Monoblade routing
requires a 12s wiring harness as
well as an 11s wiring harness in
the basebar. It is therefore essential
to use connectors to ensure the
12s Harness
groupset works properly.
HEADSET ASSEMBLY
Headset assembly with known riding position:
NOTE : For the complete assembly of your
LOOK headset, we strongly recommend that you
contact your authorized LOOK retailer.
1 - Grease the upper bearing seat of your frame and
insert the bearing (16).
2 - Grease the lower bearing seat of your frame and
fork and insert the bearing (18), taking care to place
the outer chamfer towards the inside of the head
tube, then slide the fork into the frame.
3 - Grease and slide the compression cup (15)
onto the steerer tube (19) until it reaches the upper
bearing (16).
4 - Degrease the inside of the bar on the stem
side (11) and install it by applying firm pressure to
overcome the stiffness of the hoses.
5 - As the expander plug is already glued into the
fork tube, there is no need to tighten it.
6 - Fit the cover (26) then pre-tighten the screw (25)
to no more than 2 Nm.
7 - Check that the headset parts are perfectly
aligned and tighten the stem (11) screws (27) to a
torque of 6Nm. If dismantling/reassembling, apply
a drop of medium threadlocker (such as LOCTITE
243™) to each screw (27).
8 - Complete the headset assembly by removing the
play in the steering. To do this, tighten the screw (25)
until there is no play, without exceeding a torque of
4Nm.
