36. Remove the O-ring from the flange seal of the pressure body and replace it with the new
O-ring supplied.
37. Remove the protective caps from the new treatment unit. Place the treatment unit in
the pressure body and bring it under the connection head. Guide the treatment unit to
the head and insert it through the through-holes in the head (Abbildung 15).
Attention: Ensure that the O-rings in the connection head are clean.
38. Screw the pressure body to the connection head hand-tight (Abbildung 16). Plug in the
four-pin connector (Abbildung 17).
39. Carry out commissioning according to chapter 7.
40. Reset procedure: Reset the residual capacity by pressing the button on the right side of
the electronics for longer than 5 seconds until the acoustic signal sounds.

10. MAINTENANCE

As part of the replacement of the active units after reaching the capacity limit or after 5 years at
the latest, the flow turbine of the limescale protection system must be checked for function and
replaced if necessary.
Function test flow turbine
For the function test, open one or more tapping points and check the LED display on the
electronics of the permasolvent primus 2.1. Depending on the flow rate, the LED row works as a
running light. The number of running lights is determined according to chapter 8 is defined. If at a
water flow of more than 1 l/min for PT-P25-2.1 / PT-PV25-2.1, 2.5 l/min for PT-P40-2.1, 5l/min for
PT-P40-2-2.1 or 7.5l/min for PT-P40-3-2.1 at least one blue LED is not flashing, please contact your
SHK specialist company. They will remove the flow turbine, check its function, clean it or replace
it if necessary.
