Voltage supply absent
Station address incorrectly set
Bus hood not correctly connected
and screwed on
Bus hood defective
Hardware fault,
measuring system defective
Non-recoverable parameter or
configuration error, e.g.:

internal memory error

Preset adjustment value out
of measuring range

Position error (Gear)
The measuring system is running
at the bus.
Parameterization or configuration
error in PNO-compatible nominal
configuration.
E.g. if the parameter "Number of
revolutions" is not a power of 2.
The data have been corrected
automatically, the measuring
system is running at the bus.
Measuring system ready for
operation
Cause
No error, bus in cycle
Measuring system has not been
addressed by the master, no Data
Exchange
Non-recoverable
measuring system fault, e.g.:

Preset value for the external
preset inputs
Preset1/Preset2 out of
measuring range.
The measuring system is not
running at the bus.

Remedy
Check voltage supply wiring
Set station address (valid values 3-99 !)
Check bus hood for correct fitting
Replace bus hood
Replace measuring system
Check parameterization and configuration,
see chap. 8 from page 81
Valid adjustment value = programmed total
measuring length in increments – 1
Replace measuring system
Check configuring and operational status of
PROFIBUS master
Check parameter data of the PNO-compatible
nominal configurations, see chap. 8 from page 81
Remedy
Check station address set
Check projection and operating status of the
PROFIBUS master
Check connection to the master
Check parameter data, see chap. 8 from page 81
