@ Adjustment of FM Channel Balance
1. Put the unit in Play mode
and playback an alignment
tape (with RF sweep signal recorded).
2. Observe the output of TP-307 on oscilloscope (TP-702,
external trigger). Adjust R344
so that the output ratio
of channel 1 against channel 2 becomes 3:2. (Fig. 94)

@ Adjustment of FM Playback Level
This adjustment
should
be done
after checking that the
tracking is normal.
1. Play back a recorded tape.
2. Observe the output of TP-307 on oscilloscope (external
trigger, TP-702), and adjust R339 (FM level control) so
that the output is 0.5Vp-p as shown. (Fig. 95)

1. Put the unit in PLAY mode and reproduce an alignment
tape (with stair-like waveform recorded).
2. Observe the output of TP-402 on oscilloscope (external
trigger, TP-506).
