Purpose of the menu
Settings for the solar system are only available if "Yes" is displayed for this menu item.
Adding functions to the solar system.
Graphical display of the solar system that is currently configured.
Settings for the installed solar system.
Setting parameters in the solar circuit
Setting parameters for DHW cylinders
Heat from the cylinder can be used for central heating backup.
The solar yield anticipated during the course of the day is estimated and taken into account when controlling the heat appliance.
The saving can be optimised using the settings in this menu.
With a pump, heat can be used from the pre-heating cylinder to heat a buffer cylinder or a cylinder for DHW heating.
Settings, e.g. for thermal disinfection, can be made here.
Once all the required parameters have been set, the solar system can be started up.
The efficiency of the system is improved by keeping the temperature differential within the set switch-on
temperature differential ( Start diff. sol.circ.pump).
▶ Activate the "Match-Flow" function in the Solar parameters > Solar yield/optimisation menu.
Notice: Risk of damage to system through pump failure!
▶ If a pump with integrated speed modulation is connected, deactivate the speed modulation function on the user
interface.
The solar pump is not controlled via modulation. The pump does not have any terminals for PWM or 0-10 V signals.
The solar pump (high-efficiency pump) is controlled via modulation using a PWM signal.
The solar pump (high-efficiency pump) is controlled via modulation using an analogue 0-10 V signal.
The speed of the regulated solar pump cannot fall below the speed set here. The solar pump remains at this speed
until the switch-on criterion no longer applies or until the speed is increased again.
If the collector temperature exceeds the cylinder temperature by the differential set here and all conditions for
switching on have been met, the solar pump is on (at least 3 K more than Stop diff. sol.circ.pump).
If the collector temperature falls below the cylinder temperature by the differential set here, the solar pump is off (at
least 3 K less than Start diff. sol.circ.pump).
The efficiency of the system is improved by keeping the temperature differential within the set switch-on
temperature differential ( Start diff. sol.circ.pump2).
▶ Activate the "Match-Flow" function in the Solar parameters > Solar yield/optimisation menu.
Notice: Risk of damage to system through pump failure!
▶ If a pump with integrated speed modulation is connected, deactivate the speed modulation function on the user
interface.
The solar pump for the 2nd collector array is not controlled via modulation. The pump does not have any terminals
for PWM or 0-10 V signals.
The solar pump (high-efficiency pump) for the 2nd collector array is controlled via modulation using a PWM signal.
The solar pump (high-efficiency pump) for the 2nd collector array is controlled via modulation using an analogue
0-10 V signal.
The speed of the regulated solar pump 2 cannot fall below the speed set here. The solar pump 2 remains at this
speed until the switch-on criterion no longer applies or until the speed is increased again.
If the collector temperature exceeds the cylinder temperature by the differential set here and all conditions for
switching on have been met, solar pump 2 is on (at least 3 K more than Stop diff. sol.circ. pump2).
If the collector temperature falls below the cylinder temperature by the differential set here, solar pump 2 is off
(at least 3 K less than Start diff. sol.circ.pump2).
The default settings are shown in bold in the adjustment
ranges.
The tab. below provides a brief overview of the Solar settings menu.
The menus and available settings are described in detail on the following
pages. The menus depend on which user interface and which solar
system is installed.
