This brake system is not a substi-
tute for the protector. Never use the tool w ithout
the protector. A n u n g u a r d e d c u t t i n g t o o l m a y r e s u l t
in serious personal injury.

ASSEMBLY
WARNING:
Al w ays be sure that the tool is
switched off and battery cartridge is removed
before carrying out any w ork on the tool. F a i l u r e t o
switch off and remove the battery cartridge may result
in serious personal injury from accidental start-up.

Never start the tool unless it is
completely assembled. O p e r a t i o n o f t h e t o o l i n a

sonal injury from accidental start-up.
Installing the handle

I n s e r t t h e s h a f t o f t h e h a n d l e i n t o t h e g r i p . A l i g n
t h e s c r e w h o l e i n t h e g r i p w i t h t h e o n e i n t h e s h a f t .
T i g h t e n t h e s c r e w s e c u r e l y .

NOTICE:
Note the direction of the grip. The
scre w holes w ill not be aligned if the grip is not
inserted in the correct direction.

Adjust the handle position, and then tighten the
knob to fix the handle.

Correct combination of the cutting
tool and the protector
CAUTION:
Al w ays use the correct combi-
nation of cutting tool and the protector. A w r o n g
c o m b i n a t i o n m a y n o t p r o t e c t y o u f r o m
flying debris, and stones. It can also affect the bal-
ance of the tool and result in an injury.
