5.3 Cams

Under "Cams" the allowed maximum speed of the speed monitor and the switch-on
and switch-off points of the four possible limit switches are adjusted. The limit switches
and the speed monitor can be output in the form of special bits on the parallel outputs
and/or on the SSI interface, see following section.
The maximum speed must be between 30 and 6000 min
6000 min

5.4 Special bits

It can be defined max. 8 parallel special bits and max. 8 SSI special bits, the default
setting is "Logical 0V".
As a result of custom-designed device designs also appropriately less parallel special
bits can be connected on the pin assignment.
The number of SSI special bits is dependent on the chosen SSI settings and the sent
number of clocks. In the SSI protocol the special bits are added after the LSB-data bit.
In the following the possible functions for the special bits are indicated. For an
occurring event of a function about the selection active high / active low
the output level can be specified.

5.4.1 Cams

The special bit Cam is set while the position is on or above the switch-on point. Also
"circulating" limit switches can be realized, in this case the switch-on point is larger
than the switch-off point. The switching points are entered in the section "5.3 Cams",
see above.

5.4.2 Overspeed

The special bit is set when the maximum speed set in the "5.3 Cams" section above is
exceeded.

5.4.3 Going up, Going down

This is a combination of direction indicator and zero-speed monitoring. The special bit
is set when the position moves in the corresponding direction and is deleted once it
has remained unchanged for 50 milliseconds.
To suppress vibrations, the movement detection has a hysteresis and is one step
referred to the resolution of the central disk. After a reversal of the direction of
movement, at least a distance corresponding to the hysteresis must be traveled before
a movement or change in the direction of movement is signaled. The hysteresis also
applies to the UP and Moving signals explained below:
