How to remove and reinstall the hot plates:
• Your grill is equipped with two hot plate
release buttons. With them, you can in-
dividually remove the upper and lower hot
plate to clean or swap them.
Please use the plate release buttons like
this: Your grill has to be absolutely cold be-
fore removing the plates. Open the appliance using the handle to position
the upper hot plate at an angle of roughly 90° to the bottom hot plate.
• To remove the upper hot plate, push
the PLATE RELEASE button (M) to the right
of the upper grill side in the direction of
the arrow.
• To remove the bottom hot plate, push
the PLATE RELEASE button (C) at the lower
left of the control panel in the direction of
the arrow. Once you have pressed the but-
tons, you will hear a clicking sound. The
hot plates have detached from the latches
and can now be removed from the grill.
• To reinstall the hot plates, proceed the
other way around: Position the hot plates
so that the rounded edges are positioned
under the rear latches and press them
down into the base. You will hear a faint
click, the plates are locked into place.
• Should the plates be mounted improperly, the LCD screen will state the note
„INSERT PLATE". In this case, repeat removing the plates with the plate re-
lease buttons and installing them so that they click into place.
• Obviously, the grill has to be completely cold before removing or rein-
stalling the plates.
