5.1

Tasks of the MGDM Measuring Gun Data Module

The MGDM module is positioned in front of the welding gun and collect the at the
welding gun incoming physical values.
The MGDM module is connected with the weld timer via a Sercos bus connection
and will be synchronized from the weld timer with the switch frequency of the power
output stage and the measurement points.
In the MGDM proceed a preparation and a preprocessing of the measuring values.
This values will be transferred back via the Sercos bus connection to the weld timer.
Furthermore the MGDM contain a gun memory (FRAM).
