13. Notes on Troubleshooting

Possible faults that impede the proper display of sent measuring values are:
No reception
• The distance between sender and receiver is too large.
• Reduce the distance between sender/receiver.
• Strongly insulating materials are located between sender and receiver (thick walls,
reinforced concrete, ...)
• Find other positions for sender or receiver. See also chapter 14.
Sender is superimposed by interference source
• Remove source of interference (radio, radio headset/loudspeaker) or find other positions
for sender and receiver
• Often, interferences exist only for a limited time (radio communication) or can be removed
very easily. If in your house or neighborhood radio headsets, radio baby monitoring units
or similar devices are operated on the same frequency band, they are usually switched on
for a limited time only.
Most of these devices can be switched to an interference-free frequency. This can
effectively suppress interferences.
