d) Reception display

• As soon and as long as the selected sensor is being correctly received, the small antenna
icon appears permanently in the display.
• If there is a reception failure for more than 40 minutes, the antenna icon starts blinking. The
values last received continue to be displayed.
• If there is a reception failure for more than 12 hours, the antenna icon is no longer displayed
and in the associated value display "- - - -" is shown.
• If the reception failure is due only to a functional failure, i.e. if the sensor itself continues to
work correctly, the consumption data for the total energy consumption of the sensor are not
lost. The data are updated with the next correct data transmission.

e) Connection to Computer / Driver Installation

• On the back of the device above the base, you can find the USB interface for connection
to the computer. For the connection to a USB port of the computer, use the USB cable with
type A plug and Mini-B 5-pin plug included in the delivery.
• When the device is first connected, the computer automatically recognizes the device. The
operating system then provides a message "New hardware component found".
• After the USB device has been recognized in this way, the "Assistant for searching new
hardware" is automatically started. For the installation of the driver, follow the instructions
on the screen. The driver is available on the CD included in the delivery.

f) Software Installation

For operating the software, at least Windows XP/2000 is required as operating system.
To install the software, proceed as follows:
• Connect the device via a USB cable to the USB port of the computer and install the driver
as described in chapter 12.e).
• Insert the CD included in the delivery in the corresponding drive of your computer.
• A start screen appears describing the steps for installation.
• Follow these instructions step by step until the installation has been completed.
• If the installation program does not appear automatically, start the "Setup.exe" program in
the main directory of the CD.
