Check all the working systems thoroughly one last time, then
ask your assistant to give the model a powerful, level launch
into the lift zone. Take control of the model the moment it
leaves the launcher's hands, and adjust the trims immediate-
ly if required.
Allow the Calif to gain a safe height, then carry out a careful
check of its response to the various controls, and the effect of
the flaps.
Observe the model carefully, and adjust the mechanical link-
ages as required after the first landing so that you can return
the trims to centre. This ensures that full trim travel is avail-
able to both sides of neutral for subsequent flights.
