Mark the position of the holes for the rudder horns (ring-
screws) on both sides of the rudder.

Drill 2.5 mm Ø holes for the rudder horns, holding the drill
at an angle as shown in the sketch.

Cut down the ring-screws to leave a thread length of 12
mm. Lightly countersink both sides of the hole using a 2.5
mm Ø bit to remove any rough edges, then screw the ring-
screws fully into the rudder. Secure each horn with a drop
of cyano.

The rudder is actuated using a closed-loop linkage based
on two lengths of braided wire. Cut the two wires to a
length of about 1.25 m.

Fit the braided wires and brass crimp sleeves through the
ring-screws.

Crimp the brass sleeves onto the braided wires and sol-
der the joints.

mm. Serrer complètement les boulons à œil et les fixer
avec de la colle cyanoacrylate.

Enfiler les fils avec le manchon de laiton dans l'œil des
boulons.
