Checking the
charge status of the
rechargeable battery
The battery charge status indicator (15)
signalises the state of charge of the battery
(14).
Press the button (16) on the battery. The
state of charge of the battery is displayed
by illuminating the 3-colour LED lights of
the state of charge display.
3 LEDs light up (red, orange and green):
Battery is fully charged.
2 LEDs light up (red and orange):
Battery has a residual charge.
1 LED lights up (red):
Battery has to be charged

Recharging the battery

Allow a hot battery to cool before
charging.
Only charge the battery (14) when
the red LED on the charge status
indicator (15) is on.
The charging time is around 1 hour
(PAP 20 A1).
1. Remove the battery (14) from the ap-
pliance, as necessary (see „Removing/
inserting the battery").
2. Insert the battery (14) in the charging
compartment of the battery charger (17).
3. Plug the battery charger (17) into a
mains outlet.
4. When the battery is fully recharged un-
plug the battery charger (17) from the
mains.
5. Remove the battery (14) from the char-
ger (17).

Operation

Remove the battery from the
device to prevent accidental
operation. Risk of injury!
Ensure that the ambient tem-
perature does not exceed
50°C or fall below -20°C du-
ring work.

Switching on and off

The speed can be smoothly adjusted with
the on/off switch (3). The more you press
the on/off switch (3), the higher the speed.
1. To start the device, press and hold the
safety switch (2) and press the on/off
switch (3).
2. To stop the device, release the on/off
switch (3).
Adjusting the stroke
strength
The pendulum motion of the saw blade can
be set on or off with the pendulum stroke
switch (9).
1 - no stroke
2 - stroke
Practice will determine whether sawing is
better with or without stroke; the following
settings are recommended:
• Fine and clean cutting edges can be
achieved with no pendulum motion
(level 1).
• For thin material, hard material (e.g.
steel) and for cutting curves, use level 1
also.
• Soft material (wood, plastic, etc.):
Set the pendulum to level 2.
