3.2 Start-Up Genie (Smart Setup)
Power on the drive(s) and follow the steps below to program the drive.

To navigate the Start-up Genie
menu:
• Use OK button to select the
menu item;
• Once selected, use the UP
and DOWN arrow buttons to
change the value;
• Confirm with OK button;
• Use DOWN button to go to
next menu item.
1. Select International in Regional
Settings.
2. Select the Language and pro-
ceed with the down arrow.
3. Select pump application type
based on your system: Booster or
HVAC.
4. Enter the rated motor power in
kW from the motor data plate for
the following motor data.
4a. Set the rated motor voltage.
4b. Select Motor Frequency.
4c. Enter Motor Nominal Speed.
4d. Enter the rated motor current.
4e. Set the Current Limit equal to
(Service Factor Amps/Full Load
Amps).
• For example, if the Motor Cur-
rent (FLA) indicated on the
motor nameplate is 5.6A and
the Motor Service Factor Cur-
rent (SFA) is 6.4A, enter 114%
for Current Limit (%). Be sure
to properly set the Motor Cur-
rent (FLA) and Current Limit.
4f. Select Submersible for bore-
hole application or Surface for
above ground motors.
4g. Enter the minimum limit for
motor speed. The motor speed
low limit can be set to correspond
to the minimum output frequency
of the motor shaft.
4h. Select correct filter type if you
have installed a filter between
drive and motor. Refer to the full
manual for details.

Starting from the first inverter to the last, configure each inverter with
same parameters values.
