Installation instructions for sectional doors
types 45-4 wood, with torsion spring (front
mounted = VL, rear mounted = HL )
The manufacturer's liability expires with the improper
installation of the doors.
Within 4 weeks of delivery, and before installation,
sectional doors with wood fillings must be finally treated by
the customer (allround and with max. 15% wood moisture).
To install the door the garage must be finished, dry and
well aired.
– Installation only by suitably qualified installers in
accordance with the requirements of EN 12604 and EN
12453 –
Read the these instruction carefully before installation.
Intended use of garage doors
Garage doors are intended for installation in areas
accessed by people in privately used garages and they
are used to enable safe approach of consignments and
vehicles, accompanied or driven by people, in
residential areas.
Although garage doors are tested to national and
international stands and manufactured in accordance with
best engineering practice, they can pose hazards.
Use of the doors is classified as improper particularly in the
following cases:
Their use does not conform to the intended use
Failure to observe the minimum protection specified in
EN 12453 during utilization
Improper maintenance or servicing, particularly by
unauthorized individuals
Application of loads exceeding normal manual pressure
on the door leaf (never apply loads to door leaf when
opening and closing; never intentionally try to hinder
opening and closing)
Use of inappropriate or incorrectly configured operators
Installation or attachment of improper components and
parts in or to the door, the locking system or the
operator and/or modification of their original as-
delivered status
Changes to or modifications of the door or its
components
Failure to observe the assembly, operating and
maintenance instructions, respective country-specific
standards and guidelines as well as applicable safety
regulations
The door is not in safe working order
Door elements, operators and remote controls are not
children's toys
The door element is not suitable for use by people
(including children) with limited mental, physical or sensory
capacities or a lack of experience or knowledge. However,
the door can be used in areas where it is within reach of
children.
A door element is not suitable for use as a load-bearing
component. The door must be installed vertically or
horizontally in keeping with its design. Accordingly, the
tracks must be perpendicular or aligned as specified in the
installation instructions.
The instructions for installation, operating and maintenance must be kept in a safe place as long as the door is in use!
Scope of supply:
Set of sectional door leaves with torsion spring set and
box of mounting hardware
Frame set
To install you will require
the following tools (inasmuch as the garage has no other
entrance, place tools in the garage):
folding rule/tape measure, mason's level, adjustable grips,
ratchet with extension and size 7, 10 and 13 hex sockets
and Torx T30 screwdriver (otherwise use spanners or
socket spanners) Philips screwdrivers no. 2 and 3, slot
screwdriver, impact drill with matching 10mm drill bit (min.
hole depth 65mm), 2 clamps min., ladders, chalk, knives,
wire cable cutter or power side cutter, timber beams,
hammer and chisels.
fastening and mounting hardware needed for the base
material. Warning: before using the supplied S8 screws
and S9 plugs, ensure that they are suitable for the base
material of the garage opening.
Important:
Install sectional doors only after garage opening and
floor have been completed!
As a precaution compare the garage dimensions with the
co-ordinating size of the door.

= co-ordinating width + 160mm
minimum garage height ceiling
= co-ordinating height + 220 mm for type VL
= co-ordinating height + 120 mm for type HL
minimum side room (right and left) = 45mm
