Checking/correction
1. Check that the emergency kill switch is correctly seated, and push it on if necessary.
2. Check the boat's main switch, and switch it on if necessary.
3. Check the charge state of the 12 V battery. If the charge state is low, switch off all loads not forming part of the electrical
drive system; charge using an external charger unit if necessary. For reliable operation, the system requires a battery volt-
age of at least 11 V.
4. Check the boat's fuse for the 12 V battery, and replace the fuse if defective.
5. Only during charging: Check the land-based plug connections, cables, and fuses, and correct possible faults.
1. Switch the system off.
2. Check whether the cooling water intake is blocked by foreign bodies; remove foreign bodies if necessary.
3. Flush the cooling pipework.
At low power (< 5kW) the system can be operated without cooling. If a warning appears in the display, allow the system to cool
down, and return to the harbour.
Check on the main display screen whether slow mode for motion in port is activated. The electronic accelerator lever must be
in the neutral position to switch slow mode on or off.
1. Check on the display whether the charger unit is set to On; switch on if necessary.
2. Voltage fall-off can arise if there are long cable runs between socket and charger unit. This prevents the high voltage bat-
teries from charging. If possible, try to charge using a shorter cable.
3. Check that the starter key is set to position 0 and that the emergency kill switch is pushed on, before inserting the charger
plug into the socket.
4. Check whether the fuse of the land-based power supply has tripped. If necessary, reconnect the fuse and, if required, re-
duce the charging power of the charger unit as described in the Chapter 8.5, "Settings".
