Intended use

Drive system for vessels.
The DEEP BLUE system can be operated in chemical-free waterways of sufficient
depth.
The DEEP BLUE system must be installed and operated in combination with the
following components:
■ High voltage battery –
■
Charger unit –
■
Connection box –
■ Touchscreen –
■
Remote accelerator (throttle) –
Side/Top/Twin
Intended use also includes:
■ Properly installing the DEEP BLUE system.
■
Compliance with all directions in these instructions.
■
Compliance with care and maintenance intervals.
■ The exclusive use of original replacement parts.

Foreseeable misuse

Use other than, or going beyond, that defined under "intended use" is deemed to be
unintended use. The operator bears the sole responsibility for damages arising from
unintended use, and the manufacturer accepts no liability whatsoever.
Amongst others, the following are deemed to be unintended use:
■
Operation of the propeller outside the water.
■
Underwater use of the DEEP BLUE system.
■ Operation in waters into which chemicals have been released.
■
The use of the DEEP BLUE system other than in vessels.

Before use

Danger to life from a boat which is not manoeuvrable!
This can result in severe damage to health and in death.
■
Keep oars/paddles in the boat in order to maintain manoeuvrability.
■
The DEEP BLUE system must be handled only by persons who are appropriately
qualified and who have the physical and mental ability. Comply with the relevant
national regulations.
■ The boat builder, dealer, or vendor can provide training in the operation and
safety provisions of the DEEP BLUE system .
■
As the operator of the boat, you are responsible for the safety of the people on
board, and for all vessels and persons in your vicinity. It is therefore essential
that you comply with the basic rules of conduct of navigation, and that you read
these instructions thoroughly.
■ Particular care is required when people are in the water, even when moving at a
slow speed.
■
Comply with the boat builder's instructions regarding the permitted motorisation
of your boat. Do not exceed the stated loading and power limits.
■ Ensure that the motor space is always closed during operation.
■
Check the state and all functions of the DEEP BLUE system (including Emergency
Stop) at low power (< 2 kW) before every trip.
■ Become familiar with all operating elements of the DEEP BLUE system . Amongst
other things, you should be capable of stopping the DEEP BLUE system quickly if
necessary.
