General safety information
Danger to life from electric shock.
Contact with uninsulated or damaged parts can result in death or severe
physical injuries.

Do not undertake any repair work whatsoever on the DEEP BLUE system.
■
Never touch scuffed or severed wiring or obviously defective components.
■
If you suspect a problem, switch off the DEEP BLUE system immediately, and
do not touch any metal components.
■
Prevent the electronic components from coming into contact with water.
■
Do not allow batteries or cables to be crushed, twisted or subjected to me-
chanical stress.
Danger from battery gases.
Death or severe physical injuries may result.
■
Comply with all safety information regarding used batteries in the instruc-
tions of the relevant battery manufacturer.
■
Stop using the DEEP BLUE system if the batteries or the venting system are
damaged, and inform Torqeedo Service.
■
The DEEP BLUE System has a venting system to safely channel gases outside
of the boat in an emergency. Always keep the hose outlet of the venting sys-
tem clear.

nents.
Fire and hot surfaces can result in death or severe physical injuries.

Do not stow flammable objects in the area of the high-voltage equipment.
■
Only use power cables and cords which are rated for outdoor use.
■
Always unroll the cables completely.
■
If the system overheats or you see smoke or steam, turn off the DEEP BLUE
system immediately.

Do not touch battery or motor during or shortly after use. Surfaces may be
hot.
■
Do not allow batteries or cables to be crushed, twisted or subjected to me-
chanical stress.

Danger to life if the Emergency Stop is not actuated!
Death or severe physical injuries may result.

Attach the pull-cord to the skipper's wrist or his life jacket.
