4.1

Safety devices

The DEEP BLUE system is equipped with a wide range of safety devices.
Safety device Function
Insulation monitor Monitors the status of the insulation of the high-volt-
age power network, and issues a warning if the insula-
tion is compromised.
Emergency Stop Stops the propeller immediately, and switches off the
DEEP BLUE system.
Pilot-line Switches off the high-voltage batteries if a connection
is loose or disconnected.
Fuses To avoid fire/overheating in the event of a short circuit
or overload of the DEEP BLUE system.
Venting system Vents the high-voltage batteries in the unlikely event of
an overpressure discharge.
Electronic Ensures that the DEEP BLUE system can be switched on
accelerator lever only in the neutral position, in order to prevent unin-
(throttle) tentional operation.

Operate your DEEP BLUE system in compliance with all local safety and accident pre-
vention regulations.
Before delivery, the DEEP BLUE system was designed and manufactured with the ut-
most care and with a special focus on convenience, user-friendliness and safety, and
has been extensively tested.
However, improper use of the DEEP BLUE system may result in danger to the user's
life and limb or that of third parties, in addition to extensive property damage.
