Danger of burns from hot surfaces or liquids.
Moderate or severe physical injuries may result.
■
Do not touch the motor or batteries of the DEEP BLUE system directly after
use.
■ Allow the DEEP BLUE system to cool down before working in the immediate
vicinity.
Storage of the high voltage batteries
■ Always store the high voltage batteries within the permitted temperature range,
see Chapter 3.3.
■
During extended storage, check the charge state of the high voltage batteries
once per month, by reading the charge state from the main screen (Fig. 29). The
value must be greater than 20%.
After the end of the trip, close the sea cock or the outboard outlets of the cooling
system.
The following tasks must be carried out when the boat is lifted out of the water and/
or it remains unused in the water over an extended period.
1. Draining the coolant circuit.
2. Flush the coolant circuit with fresh water.
3. In winter, add antifreeze to the fresh water (for this step, contact Torqeedo Ser-
vice or an authorised service partner if necessary).

CAUTION!
Flushing the coolant circuit:
1. Close outlet and intake valves.
2. Pull off coolant hoses, and pump antifreeze through the coolant circuit with the
aid of the manual coolant pump switch in the Motor Info screen (see "Motor
settings", page 68).
3. Before the next trip, flush out the antifreeze using fresh water.
4. Reconnect hoses in their original state, and open sea-cocks (for these steps, con-
tact Torqeedo Service or an authorised service partner if necessary).
ADVICE
The hoses must be connected correctly. If the cooling system is connected incor-
rectly, water can get into the boat.
