The S S a a f f e e L L i i g g h h t t ™ ™ F F i i b b e e r r O O p p t t i i c c C C a a b b l l e e is intended to transmit light from a light source to an
endoscope during endoscopic procedures. The cable features Electronic Scope-Sensing
Technology (ESST), which detects when the cable is disconnected from the scope adapter,
and it automatically powers off a compatible Stryker light source to prevent burns and fires.
The SafeLight cable is available in two models:

Grey cable
The cable is compatible with all Stryker light sources, unless otherwise noted in the light
source user manual. Some light source functions may require specific cables; see the light
source user manual for details.
The cable requires a SafeLight scope adapter to connect to different brands of endoscopes.

1.1 Indications/Contraindications
The cable transmits light from the light source to the endoscope during minimally invasive
surgical procedures in arthroscopy (orthopedic surgery), laparoscopy (general and
gynecological surgery), and endoscopy (general, gastroenterological, and ENT surgery).
The light is transmitted from the source through an optical cable and a scope.
There are no known contraindications.
