NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Improper handling of the appliance can
lead to property damage.
The presence of any metal in the cook-
ing chamber can cause sparks when
operating the microwave or when us-
ing the Combi mode. This can destroy
the appliance and the viewing pane.
Do not use metal pots, metal pans
and metal lids or crockery with met-
al parts such as gold edges under any
circumstances.
Metallic food or drink containers must
not be used to heat food in a micro-
wave appliance.
Only dishes suitable for use in mi-
crowave cooking appliances may be
used.
When heating food in plastic or pa-
per containers, the cooking appliance
should be frequently monitored for
possible ignition.
When in grill, convection, or mul-
ti-function mode, do not use any por-
celain, ceramic or plastic containers
or fi lm wrap that cannot withstand
high temperatures.
Do not use baking paper or similar!
Containers that become hotter than
the food inside them are not suitable
for microwave cooking. Do not use
such containers.
The appliance has a range of operating
modes: Microwave, Grill, Combi and Convec-
tion. Always choose the appropriate crockery
for the different cooking modes. Please also
ensure to observe the manufacturer's guide-
lines. Unsuitable crockery can lead to the ap-
pliance becoming damaged.
Suitable crockery
For microwave mode
Use only microwave-suitable crockery. This
includes:
– fire-resistant glass, ceramic, porcelain
– fire and frost resistant glass ceramics
– High heat resistant and microwaveable
plastic (e.g. oven bag)
– the grill rack supplied with the device
In order to fi nd out whether the crock-
ery is microwaveable, you can conduct
the following test:
1. Place the empty container into the cook-
ing chamber and close the cooking cham-
ber door (8).
2. Press the
button(25).
The appliance will then start with full micro-
wave power for 30 seconds.
– If the crockery becomes hot or if sparks
start to form, immediately open the cook-
ing chamber door to stop the cooking
process: This crockery is unsuitable.
– If the crockery remains cold or only luke-
warm, it may be used in the Microwave
mode.
For Grill, Convection and Combi
modes
Any materials used when cooking in a con-
ventional oven can also be used for these
cooking modes.
Size and form
– Flat, wide containers are more suitable
than tall, narrow ones. "Flat" dishes can
cook through more evenly.
– Round or oval shaped containers are more
suitable than square or rectangular con-
tainers. There is a potential for localised
overheating in the corners.
