NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the microwave
oven may lead to damage.
• Metal in the cooking chamber pro-
duces sparks in microwave and
multi-function mode! This could
destroy the microwave and the
viewing window! Never use metal
saucepans, pans and covers or
dishware with metallic parts such
as gold edging. Do not use the
rotisserie rack supplied with the
appliance in microwave and mul-
ti-function mode.
• Do not use any aluminium foil, due
to the fact that this can also cause
sparks when coming into contact
with the cooking chamber walls.
• When in grill or combi mode, do
not use any porcelain, ceramic or
plastic containers or film wrap that
cannot withstand high tempera-
tures! Do not use baking parch-
ment or similar.
• Do not use damaged containers.
• If you discover that the container
is becoming hotter than the food
itself, then this container is not
suitable for microwave cooking.
Do not use such containers.
• Use only a special microwave
thermometer. Normal liquid ther-
mometers are not suitable.
Appropriate dishware must be selected for the
various cooking methods. Please also ensure
to observe the manufacturer's guidelines. If you
use unsuitable dishware, this can lead to dam-
age to the microwave.
Suitable dishware
Always use the correct
dishware
which is suitable for microwave ovens and which
is fire-resistant and suitable for all functions of
your microwave multi-function appliance. This
includes:
– fire-resistant glass, ceramic, porcelain
– fire and frost resistant glass ceramics
– highly heat-resistant plastics (e.g. baking
films).
Tip:
When warming dishes which are packed in
well-sealed baking films, excessive pressure
may be created.
• Rip or put holes in the baking foil in order to
avoid it bursting.
Suitable for microwave oven
use
Apart from the aforementioned materials, mate-
rials which are not fireproof but which are suit-
able for use in microwaves are suitable for use
when in microwave mode only, e.g.
– Plastics and films which are suitable for mi-
crowave use
– Baking parchment
– the rotisserie rack 6 supplied with the appli-
ance.
